Impact - Aspen Policy Academy

Our Impact

Aspen Policy Academy programs teach subject matter experts and community leaders how to advocate for change. We seek three types of impact: changing people’s careers, improving policy outcomes, and making better resources for policy training available.

People Impact: More than 100 of our alumni have taken on government positions, from the White House to the NY State Assembly.
Policy Impact: We empower our alumni to impact policy, from helping the City of Oakland deploy an app that provides services to its homeless population to supporting a race equity centered product certification for education technology tools.
Resource Library: We are building a database of resources on important policy topics, such as on regulating data brokers and developing skills for new government hires.

Our trainees develop innovative, practical projects to impact the policy process. We are also proud of our alumni base, many of whom have been hired into policy-related jobs in the public and private sector since participating in our programs.
