Policy 101
Our Policy 101 webinars are conducted regularly to introduce new audiences to the basics of the policy process. This program teaches participants how to think about policy expansively, and introduces them to a framework for understanding how to change policy on the issues they care about. It also gives an overview of the six steps of policy impact.
Our Policy 101 webinars are targeted toward subject-matter experts who want to translate their expertise into impact. The webinar’s content is derived from our broader curriculum, which is usually reserved for individuals and organizations going through our cohort trainings. This webinar functions as an excellent starter course for anyone interested in the Aspen Policy Academy’s broader programming offerings. We encourage participants attending a Policy 101 webinar to continue their training in understanding and impacting policy by applying to another Aspen Policy Academy program.

Writing a Public Comment
In our Writing a Public Comment informational webinar, participants will be introduced to a framework for writing effective public comments, which are essential tools that regulators are required to rely upon before making significant policy changes. Any individual or organization is welcome to submit comments on how proposals for regulations and other policies could impact them or the communities they care about, so learning to participate in this process is a great way to make an impact on government policies. Don’t miss this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of what public comments are, how they are used, and strategies for crafting your own public comment to achieve policy change!
