Steve Weis
Cryptographer & entrepreneur who focuses on securing people’s data with applied cryptography. Most recently, Steve was a software engineer at Facebook working on data privacy, data security, and infrastructure security. Previously, Steve was co-founder & CTO of PrivateCore, a security startup acquired by Facebook in 2014, and a member of Google’s applied security team. Steve received a Ph.D. in computer science from MIT and bachelor’s degrees in computer science and applied mathematics from UC Berkeley.
