About Rebecca

Rebecca Peters serves as Earth Action Lead at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. Prior to this role, she was the Senior International Water Policy Advisor at the US Department of State, an Academy Fellow at Chatham House in London, UK and a researcher at the Asian International Rivers Center in Kunming, China. She has a doctorate from the University of Oxford, as well Master’s in water science and international development economics. She led the bilingual Bengali-English translation of the 283-page “legal personhood” High Court verdict for Bangladesh’s rivers and has written for publications including Scientific American, Foreign Affairs, and The World Today.
