About Amber Nicole

Amber Nicole Turner is a second-year Information Science PhD student at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She is a researcher in the Internet Rules Lab, advised by Professor Casey Fiesler. Her current research focuses on data privacy, AI governance, and ethics. Before joining CU Boulder, Amber was an academic director and teaching faculty of information systems at the University of Washington Foster School of Business. She is very active in the business and tech community and has consulted on various technology for social good and technology workforce development initiatives. In her spare time, she likes to go on outdoor adventures and hikes with her dog.
