About Abigail

Abigail Oyekola is a Ph.D. candidate at Howard University with a background in renewable energy systems, energy policy, and block-chain-based energy trading. She holds a Master’s degree from Auckland University of Technology (AUT), where her research focused on decentralized renewable energy systems, climate change policies, and blockchain platforms for energy trading. Her work has been presented at the International Conference on Technology and Policy in Energy and Electric Power (ICT-PEP). A recipient of the MFAT New Zealand Development Scholarship Award and an inductee of the Bouchet Graduate Honor Society (BGHS), she previously worked as an IP Engineer at Equinix, Inc. She is passionate about giving back to underrepresented communities through volunteering, mentorship, and community projects.
