The Aspen Tech Policy Hub invites you to join our two-part instructional webinar series: Communicating for Policy 101 and Responding to Public Comments for Cyber Organizations: a Deeper Dive. The first webinar offers a 101-level overview of how to communicate for policy and will take place on November 30th at 12pm PT/ 3pm ET. The second webinar focuses on how cybersecurity organizations can write effective public comments and will take place on December 19th at 12pm PT/3pm ET.

The paired webinars’ content is derived from our broader Communicating for Policy curriculum, usually reserved for individuals and organizations going through our cohort trainings, and functions as an excellent starter course for the space. We strongly encourage participation in both sessions of the series as the content is linked, but be aware the second session will focus on cyber examples.

In the first seminar, we will be teaching:

  • General Tips On Communicating for Policy
  • Policy Writing Tips
  • Types of Policy Writing (Informational; Argumentative)
  • Writing an Argument

In the second seminar, we will be teaching:

  • What is a Public Comment
  • When to Submit a Cyber Public Comment
  • Cyber Policy Memos vs Public Comments
  • Key Tips on Public Comment Writing

Register for the first webinar, Communicating for Policy 101 here. Register for the second webinar, Responding to Public Comments for Cyber Organizations: a Deeper Dive here.
