Aspen Policy Academy

The Cyber Civic Engagement program is a virtual training designed to empower everyday individuals to become effective cybersecurity policy advocates. This training builds upon the work of craig newmark philanthropies’ Take9 initiative, a public service campaign aimed at increasing cybersecurity awareness.

Whether you want your public library to install secure Wi-Fi, or your kid’s school board to adopt policies that protect student data privacy, or your local police department to learn about proper cybercrime reporting – this course will give you the tools necessary to advocate and improve cyber safety in your community. Join us to learn concrete advocacy skills, stakeholder communication, and practical policy writing.

After completion of the training, participants will have the unique opportunity to be considered for 1:1 advocacy coaching to help them advance their own policy ideas in their community!
