Protecting Sensitive Healthcare Data

By Evîn Cheikosman

How can the City of San Francisco prevent unauthorized parties from accessing sensitive reproductive and gender affirming healthcare data collected during the execution of reverse warrants? This project proposes implementing a city-controlled data privacy system to protect sensitive healthcare information before it is shared with law enforcement.

This project was completed as part of the 2024 Science and Technology Policy Fellowship, an Aspen Policy Academy program to teach science and technology experts how to impact policy.
