The Hub invites you to attend our informational webinar, Beyond Chevron: Advancing Nonprofit Advocacy in a New Legal Landscape, on September 11 at 11am PT/2 pm ET. This webinar will help advocates understand the recent Supreme Court ruling that ended Chevron deference and how nonprofit organizations can champion policy change under its new conditions. Register here.

The Supreme Court’s recent ruling in Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo has ushered in a new era of regulatory policymaking. Outside advocates, such as nonprofit organizations, are wondering how they should shift their advocacy strategies. Should outside advocates continue to work with federal agencies, or should they focus on other political actors like the legislative branch? This webinar will explore questions like these through conversations with academics and nonprofit advocacy groups.

The event will start with insights from Josh Chafetz, the Agnes Williams Sesquicentennial Professor of Law and Politics at Georgetown University and former clerk for Judge Guido Calabresi of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. A panel of nonprofit representatives, including Sanjay Narayan of the Sierra Club, Mallory Morales of Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, and Corynne McSherry of the Electronic Frontier Foundation, will then discuss how their organizations are thinking about policy advocacy post-Chevron. There will be plenty of time for audience engagement and questions.

Don’t miss this opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the ruling’s impact and learn strategies for navigating this new era of policymaking.
