Change Starts with a Spark

It happens all the time.

You’re walking through your neighborhood and notice a dangerous intersection.
You hear about a decision affecting your local school.
A new development is proposed—and something about it doesn’t sit right.

That moment—that flicker of “this could be better”—is what we call a civic spark.

What is a “civic spark”?

A civic spark is the moment you realize something in your community should change—and feel the urge to do something about it.

“We need a stop sign at that corner.”

“We want our school to offer art electives.”

“We oppose that new development nearby.”

These moments are powerful. But too often, they fade.

Not because people don’t care—but because they don’t know where to start.

From Spark to Action

A spark on its own isn’t enough. Real change happens when that spark turns into action.

Project Civic Spark exists to bridge that gap.

We help people move from “this bothers me” to “here’s what I can do about it.”

What Project Civic Spark will do:

Who it’s for

Project Civic Spark is for anyone who has ever thought:

  • “Someone should do something about this.”
  • “I care—but I don’t know where to begin.”
  • “I want to make a difference in my community.”

If you’ve had a civic spark, this is for you.
