New Job Openings: Policy Advisor and 2 Policy Instructors

The Aspen Policy Academy is thrilled to share that we are hiring for 3 positions: a full-time Policy Advisor and 2 part-time, contract Policy Instructors. These team members will play a key role in teaching our curriculum to policy newcomers, empowering everyday citizens to engage with our democracy. Learn more about the roles:

Policy Advisor: We are looking for a Policy Advisor who loves to teach, mentor students new to policy, and run policy programs. The Policy Advisor will be responsible for tailoring and teaching portions of our existing curriculum in our webinars, virtual short courses, and in-person fellowship; supporting program operations; mentoring trainees on policy projects; and coordinating with policy project partners. This role is a particularly good fit for candidates transitioning out of policy or advocacy roles who have a strong passion for teaching, performing, and telling stories about their work based on an existing curriculum.

We prefer candidates based in the Bay Area, but remote candidates are also eligible. Learn more about the Policy Advisor role here.

Policy Instructors: If a full-time role isn’t right for you at this time, we are also looking to hire policy instructors on a contract basis. Instructors will be responsible for teaching portions of our existing curriculum in our webinars – 1-2 sessions per week, though needs will fluctuate. There may be additional opportunities to teach in our virtual short courses and in-person fellowship. We hope to hire one instructor responsible for teaching policy impact and advocacy, and one instructor responsible for teaching policy communications.
