Applications are officially open for our Getting Through To Governments: Communications Bootcamp. If you want to effectively influence government stakeholders to drive local policy change, then this is the course for you.

Our inaugural 1-week program is free, virtual, and beginner-friendly. Participants will learn how to write concise and persuasive outputs for government audiences and deliver effective oral briefings to officials. We welcome applications from anyone with a specific idea for a local policy they’d like to change. No degree or formal background in policy is required.

The program:

The course will take place daily from 9-11am PT / 12-2pm ET from March 30 to April 3, 2026.
Candidates will be expected to spend 1-2 hours every day during the week on policy assignments and 5-10 hours on a final assignment that will be due after the last day of instruction.

The application:

Qualified applicants are engaged community members interested in influencing policy in their local community.
The application deadline is Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 11:59pm PT.
Participants will be admitted in early March.
