Aspen Policy Academy

Applications are officially open for our Environmental Policy Accelerator program! If you have a solution to an environmental problem but want help refining that solution, this program is for you. Over 6 weeks, participants will workshop and refine their solution, getting direct feedback from the Academy’s instructors and peers, while also learning our core framework for achieving policy impact. 

By the end of the program, participants will leave with a concrete environmental policy solution, a set of policy outputs, and an advocacy plan that they can use to pitch their solution to a decisionmaker. 

Important information and dates:

The Program:

• The Environmental Policy Accelerator is virtual, part-time, and unpaid.
• The course will take place virtually on Mondays from 12-2pm ET/9-11am PT from October 20 to November 24, 2025.
• Candidates will be expected to spend 8-10 hours a week outside of class time completing readings and weekly assignments.

The Application:

• Qualified applicants are subject-matter experts on environmental issues, such as an environmental engineer, environmental tech start-up founder, environmental policy communications professional, or a community member advocating for a specific environmental policy change in their local municipality.
• You can apply as an individual or in teams of up to 4. 
• The application deadline is Thursday, September 11, 2025, at 11:59pm PT.
• Participants will be admitted in late September.
