About Nishchal

Nishchal Chaudhary is a technology and policy leader focused on designing impactful services that benefit communities. Leveraging design principles, data analytics and nature based solutions, Nishchal identifies opportunities for improving community outcomes and facilitates collaboration to attain organizational goals. 

Nishchal started his career as an individual contributor in the tech industry with engineering roles at Arraycomm, Atheros and Qualcomm. After spending a decade in the private sector, he transitioned to working with mission-driven organizations and startups as a consultant before stepping into the public sector. Nishchal managed a team of software developers and technologists at the City of Long Beach and also jointly led various community-focused initiatives such as the Justice Lab and the city’s open data program. Most recently, Nishchal was a Presidential Innovation Fellow detailed to NASA where he supported the agency in implementing its articulated data strategy. 

Nishchal holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mississippi and a Certificate in Innovation from Stanford University.
