Daragh Byrne

Daragh Byrne is an Associate Teaching Professor at Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Architecture, with courtesy appointments in the Human-Computer Interaction Institute and the School of Design. He leads the College of Fine Arts Working Group on AI, co-directs the TRACES Lab, and his research explores how emerging technologies can support learning and creativity. He has led NSF- and NEH-funded research on maker-based documentation, technology prototyping, and digital archives. He is also a founding member and Technical Director of Ground Works, an award-winning open-access multimedia journal for arts-integrative scholarship. Daragh has a PhD in Computer Applications from Dublin City University and an MRes from Lancaster University.
