San Francisco, CA – We are excited to release our new Impact Report, spotlighting the Academy’s key accomplishments from 2024. Our impact is divided into two main categories: people impact and policy impact.

One way we measure our people impact is by the number of our alumni who take on policy roles. In 2024, we celebrated 15 transitions to policy positions, some of which we highlight in this report. We also measure the ways in which our alumni have had direct influence on policy. For example, California passed a law that was developed from a report by alum Emily Doyle.

Since launching in October, the Academy has hit the ground running with 11 new programs and almost 2,000 people applying to participate in them. We’re excited about this early growth and look forward to continuing the momentum in 2025.
