Ashley Llorens
Ashley Llorens is the founding chief of the Intelligent Systems Center at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. He previously led a large portfolio of research and development projects focused on applying artificial intelligence to national security applications, and currently serves on strategic advisory boards for the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, and the National Academy of Sciences. Ashley has an MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Ashley has also pursued a career as a hip-hop artist; his music has appeared in film and TV and he is a voting member of the Recording Academy, the organization that hosts the Grammys.
