Alicia Blum-Ross
Alicia Blum-Ross leads development of kids and families product strategy at YouTube. Alicia previously served as the child safety lead on Google’s Government Affairs and Public Policy team. She is a board member of the Technology Coalition, which focuses on fighting online child sexual exploitation and abuse. Prior to joining Google, she researched and taught in the Department of Media and Communications at the London School of Economics and Political Science, where she co-authored the books Parenting for a Digital Future: How Hopes and Fears About Technology Shape Children’s Lives, and Enhancing Digital Literacy and Creativity: Makerspaces in the Early Years. Alicia has a DPhil and an MPhil in Social Anthropology from University of Oxford. In her spare time, she likes to cook, quilt, and fall asleep in front of tense European TV dramas.
