Announcing the Summer 2024 Savilla Pitt Fellowship Recipient: Jonathan Gilmour
We are delighted to announce that Jonathan Gilmour has been selected as the Savilla Pitt Memorial Fellow from the Summer 2024 Science & Technology Policy Fellowship class. The Aspen Tech Policy Hub and Aspen Digital present the Savilla Pitt Memorial Fellowship to a member of each Hub cohort who exemplifies the selflessness and generosity of spirit of the late Savilla Pitt.
Jonathan’s kindness and giving nature reflect the core of what the Savilla Pitt award stands for. According to Jonathan’s Fellowship peers, during the program he was “always thinking of ways to share resources, help the group connect, and grow personally and professionally.”
Jonathan is currently a data scientist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health working on air pollution, heat, and public health issues. He previously was a founding member at the Pandemic Tracking Collective, an advisor to the Rockefeller Foundation’s Pandemic Prevention Initiative, and a Data Infrastructure Engineer at The COVID Tracking Project at The Atlantic.
The Savilla Pitt Memorial Fellowship pays tribute to Savilla Pitt, the first Aspen Tech Policy Hub employee and a core member of Aspen Digital, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2021. Savilla played a vital role in launching the Hub program, and more importantly, she was a dear friend. Once again, congratulations to Jonathan!
